Alma “Jean” Dinger, of Lookout Valley, departed this life Thursday, April 13th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Atlanta Braves. She was a founding member of the Lookout Valley Recreation Center and was well known for working the concession stands at all Lookout Valley sports functions and was MLB Amateur Baseball Woman of the Year in 1998. She was a member of St. Elmo Church of Christ for 43 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Beulah Baylor and her brother, Ronald Baylor.

Left to treasure her memory is her husband of 63 years, Rodger Dinger, her children, Chris Dinger (Karen) , David Dinger (Mandy),Kelly Dinger, grandchildren Joe (Megan),Elizabeth, Kayla, Clayton, Ryan, and Katie as well as several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home, 144 Browns Ferry Road, Lookout Valley from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Sunday April 16th, 2023. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 17th, 11am, at Lakewood Memorial Gardens West

In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to St Elmo Church of Christ.
