Gerald “Bob” Barnes age 76 of Jasper passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was a member of Gateway Worship Center Church of God, where he loved to play guitar and sing to the members. Bob retired from Erlanger Medical Center and was preceded in death by his parents, James & Sophia Barnes, siblings, James Ray Barnes and Mildred J. Gouger.
Those left to treasure his memories are his wife, Sharon Kirk Barnes of Jasper. children, Jerry (Sherry) Barnes, Mark (Hope) Barnes, Becky (Chris) McCrary; siblings, Nancy Layne all of South Pittsburg, Carol (Russell) Prince of Ooltewah, Ruth (Robert) Goff of Trenton; grandchildren, Nicole, Kristina, Anslee, Tyler and C.J.; ten great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, CDT, Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Funeral Service 2PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Russell Prince and Rev. Robert Goff officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper.
