Chester Ray Martin

Chester Ray Martin age 83 of South Pittsburg passed away Monday, March 8, 2021. He served in the United States Army and retired from Vulcan Materials after 30 years. Chester retired at age 65 and he loved being at home, outside watching birds, tending to the birdfeeders and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Jessie Martin; brothers, Joe Martin, Tommy Martin; sisters, Wilberta Rollins, Jewell Fulfer & Evelyn Lawson.

Those left to treasure his memories are his sweetheart of 60 years, Thelma Island Martin; children, Greg (Trish) Martin, Quintin Martin, Ricky (Michelle) Martin; daughter-in-law, Pam Martin; siblings, Earline Zieglar, Charlie Martin, Nellie Kilgore & Jimmie Martin; grandchildren, Chelsea Martin, Faith Martin, Ashley Martin, Sean Coffelt & Lacey Coffelt; four great grandchildren.

Graveside Service 1PM, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Orme Mountain Cemetery with Pastor Joe Moore officiating.
