Cleveland Ira Rogers, born July 17th, 1933, of Flintstone, GA, was called to his heavenly home at the age of 91, on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.
Cleveland spent four years in the Air Force after graduating high school. Cleveland is a God-fearing man and one of the best Christians seen around. He never met a stranger. He thoroughly loved to aggravate people and give nicknames to those he was close to. He enjoyed anything outdoors from: gardening, fishing, tractors, and farming. In his downtime he enjoyed watching CMT, football, gameshows, gospel, driving fast and riding motorcycles. But most of all Cleveland loved his family and his beautiful wife (Nana), whom he was married to for 69 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Clara Rogers, and his brothers Raymond Darrell Rogers, Bill Rogers, and Reece Rogers.
He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn Rogers, his children: Phyllis Stephens aka June Bug(Wendell Singleton) Kimberly Kilgore aka Tad, grandkids: Tim White aka Scoot, Danielle Tate aka Teeny(Michael), Jonathan Kilgore aka Jon-Jon(Amber) Merideth Marter aka Smiley, great grandchildren: Jimbo Alexander, Gunner Tate(Alissa) Bryan White aka Pee Wee(Emmalee) Hayden Endicott, Ethan Marter aka E, Emma Kilgore, Shelbie Tate, Tommy Kilgore, great-great-grandchild: Gracelynn Tate, brothers: Link Rogers, Don Rogers, and Gene Rogers, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 2:00-8:00pm, Friday, January 24,2025, visit from 8:30 to 9:30am, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 am, interment to follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11am.
