Danny Ray Simmons, Sr. age 61, of Jasper, TN passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He retired from Mountain View @ 153, where he was a master mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie "Ed" and Loretta Rice Simmons, brothers, William "Bill" and Alvin Simmons; and step-son, Tommy Grayson. Danny spent several afternoons and weekends either working on or showing off his baby in car shows, 1971 Ford F100 Ranger.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Valeria Simmons, children, Angie (Marvin) Simpson-Williams, Danny Simmons, Jr., Derek Simmons, Scott Grayson, Ricky (Ginger) Grayson; Robert Meyer, Christopher Meyer, Jonathan Meyer; brother James Simmons; sisters, Lois "Sissy" Simmons, Linda (Reece) Harris; grandchildren, Kaylin and Janecia Simpson, Noah, Katelyn, Kirsten, Tammy, Charlie, and Derek Simmons, Jr.; Bryce, Aurora, and Scott Grayson, Jr. Miranda Meyer, Christopher Meyer, II;
great grandchild, Cain Henegar.

Family will receive friends Sunday, January 29, 2017, 12pm-3pm,
CST at Jasper Memorial Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.
