David Wayne Decker

David Wayne Decker, 58, of Jasper, TN. passed away Friday, May1, at his home with his loving wife at his side. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing things, and spending time with his family. He was a proud Marine Corp. veteran. David was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather. David had a deeper love for his grandchildren, his dog Trooper and of course his wife Salena. He grew up on the Bayou and was a very hard worker. His Marine brothers were like family to him, and he thought of them as brothers.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents; Wellington Decker, Zelphie Decker, Marion Boatwright & James Hickey.

He leaves behind his wife and lifelong friend Salena Decker. His Mother; Carol Gotte of Humble, TX.  and Father; Gerald Decker of Jennings, Louisiana. Children; Hunter Decker of Willow City, Tx., Peyton (Lyla) Decker of Vidor, T x., Christopher Smith of Lake Charles, Louisiana., Pama (Bryon) Latigo of Hinesville, Ga., Jeremy (Tamika) Smith of Jennings, Louisiana and Michael (Brandi) Davis of Flatrock, Ala. His siblings; Shanna (Steve) Miller, Marlo (Ron) Lantier and Ryan (Ashley) Gott and his grandchildren; Ezlo Decker, Alexis Smith, Mya Smith, Holland Smith, Alaena Latigo and Kynadi Davis.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5 from 2pm- 8pm and Wednesday, May 6 from 12pm-2pm with Services to follow at 2pm.

David will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery Jasper, TN.
