Dora “Belle” Isabelle Curtis, 90, of Chattanooga, TN passed away surrounded by family on February 16, 2025. Dora was born on July 19, 1934, in South Pittsburg, TN, to the late Thomas and Mary Johnson. Dora was married to her husband George W. Curtis for 60 years. She was a devout member of Wauhatchie Methodist Church.

Dora is preceded in death by her husband George W. Curtis, her son Mike Curtis, her grandson Nathan Sewell, her parents Thomas and Mary Johnson, her siblings: Thomas David Johnson, Harvey Johnson, Margaret Lanier, Alice Maree Johnson, Orvel Johnson, Sarah Frances Johnson, and Geneva Estelle Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory her daughter Joan(Jimmy) Sewell, son Jeff Curtis, grandchildren: Shane(Kristen) Curtis, Casey(Casey) Curtis, Jason(Emily) Sewell, Ashley(Dustin) Hall, Chad(Elizabeth) Curtis, and Blake(Chelsea) Curtis; great-grandchildren: Gracelyn Sewell, Braxton Hall, Corbin Hall, Caroline Curtis, Embree Curtis, Greyson Curtis, Gaige Curtis, and Trinity Dean; sister Barbara Jean Eason and special niece Judy Tims as well as numerous other extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shane Curtis, Casey Curtis, Jason Sewell, Dustin Hall, Chad Curtis and Blake Curtis.

The family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all of their care and support.

A visitation will be held from 10-12:15pm EST at Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home on February 18, 2025. The funeral service (officiated by Darrell Smith) will be at 12:15pm EST in the funeral home chapel on February 18, 2025, at 12:15 PM EST. Burial immediately following service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Park at 1pm CST.
