George D. Gossett

George D. Gossett was born on July 26, 1958 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Lookout Valley High School and was the owner and operator of the George D. Gossett Company specializing in building and maintenance repair. He also owned and operated Wildwood Motorsports specializing in Racecar fabrication and performance parts. He was also an active member of the racing community of multiple tracks around the country and locally at Brainerd Motorsports Park. He enjoyed the comradery at the track with his fellow racers and the community. For those of you that never met George, he was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, a tough exterior with a big heart. He always wanted the best for others and cared deeply for his family. We will never forget the life lessons he leaves behind and are grateful he is no longer suffering, as he is with our Lord.

George was preceded in death by his father, James R. Gossett; mother, Dora Estelle Gossett; brother, Charles Ryan.

Those left to treasure his memories are his children, Justin (Crystal) Tipton, Jason (Beth) Tipton, Cody (Sara) Gossett, Tyler (Morgan) Gossett; brother, James R. Gossett, Jr.; nephew, Wes (Charley) Gossett; grandchildren, Briley & Braxton, Knox & Hollis, Barrett, Kelby & River, Charley & Parker; great nephew & niece, Maddox & Reece.

Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, EST, Friday, September 9, 2022.

Graveside Service 11AM, EST, Monday, Sept 12, 2022, at Lakewood Memory Gardens West in Lookout Valley with Pastor Garrett Reagan officiating.
