George L. Thomas

George L. Thomas age 78 of South Pittsburg went home to his heavenly father, Saturday, May 18, 2019. George was preceded in death by his parents, Berry & Isabelle Thomas; siblings, Almeda Ogle, Wilma Willenius and J.C. Thomas. He retired from Alstom Power and a member of Crossroads Church of God.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Frances Thomas; children, Vanessa (Robert) Moore both of South Pittsburg, Cindy (Billy) Surgener of Rockmart, George (Crystal) Thomas of South Pittsburg; siblings, Opal Sanders of Gruetli-Laager, Ronnie Thomas of Ringgold, Carl Thomas of Kennesaw, Carolyn Thomas of Park City; grandchildren, Ashley Martin, Brian Smith, Faith Martin, Josh Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Hannah Smith, Hailee Pollard, Connor Thomas; great grandchildren, Adelyn, Kingston & Nora.

Family will receive friends 12PM-8PM, CDT, Saturday, May 25, 2019 and 11AM-3PM, CDT, Sunday, May 26, 2019.

Funeral Service 3PM, CDT, Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jerry Merciers and Brother David Swanner officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, Alabama.
