JAMES FRANCES COLLINS

James Francis Collins Jr., 89, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1 , 2023. He was born in Jasper, TN to his parents: James Francis Collins Sr. and Sophia Tresora Collins.

James enjoyed being outdoors a lot. From sitting on his front porch, to gardening, and admiring flowers. He liked working in the garage. However, his most favorite thing of all to do was to spend time with his family. He was a saddle maker and a plant foreman at Big Horn for years before retiring.

He is preceded in death by his parents: (Trecie) and Francis Collins; his siblings Juanita Jordan, Imojean Casteel, Verdell Rhodes, and Bonnie Bell.

He is survived by his sibling Lawrence Collins; children: Tim Collins (Kathleen), Jeff Collins (Patty), Doyle Collins (Gina); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grand-children, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, November 3,2023 from 8-10am. Chapel Service will be Friday, November 3,2023 from 10-10:45am. Followed by the committal at National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
