The stars twinkled a little brighter over Jasper Saturday, March 7, 2021 as Kevin Hubbard received his glorified body after his four-year battle with colon cancer. He was a graduate of Whitwell High School Class of 1990. He served in the United States Airforce, where he was titled Senior Airman in the 2nd Bombing & 2nd Transportation Unit. He was stationed at Barksdale Airforce Base in Shreveport, LA with duty assignments in Saudi Arabia, Guam, and Germany. He received the Southwest Service Medal and completed his duty assignment, Operation Desert Storm. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bryan College in 2011 and his master’s degree from Cumberland University in 2014.
Over the last twenty years, he has served as a law enforcement officer for Marion County Sheriffs Department, Town of Jasper Police Department, Tennessee Valley Authority & Arnold Air Force Base. Kevin’s pride and enjoyment included watching his children play the sports they love, fishing and gun collecting. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Hubbard, Sr.
Those left to treasure his memories are his wife of 18 years, Kristy Knoll Hubbard; children, Jonathan Blake (Makayla Misiolek) Cooper, Madalyn Grace Hubbard& Ethan Jace Hubbard; his parents, Jerry & Judy Hamilton; in-laws, Jerry & Wanda Knoll; siblings, Jimmy (Saundra) Hubbard, Lisa Fields, Darin Hamilton, Robbie (Heather) Hamilton, Ryan (Heather) Hamilton, Jerri Dell (Ray) Rheal, Cassandra (Matt) Bouvia, Clayton (Natalia) Hubbard, Jessica (James) Denny & Traci (Rob Klippel) Knoll; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & a host of friends.
