Ray Lawrence Long Obituary
Ray L. Long age 76 of Whitwell passed Wednesday, October 14, 2020. He owned and operated Ray Long Trucking. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence & Minnie Lee Long; brother, Dan Long; father-in-law, Albert H. Layne; sister-in-law, Jill Nunley.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Peggy C. Long, son, Brian R. Long both of Whitwell; siblings, Omia Jean Owens of South Pittsburg, Sam (Jean) Long, Jack (Evelyn) Long; mother-in-law, Nola Layne all Whitwell; Godchildren, Whitney (David) Rankin, Emily (Austin) Pedigo, Braylon Long; several nieces & nephews.
Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, CDT, Friday, October 16, 2020 and 4PM-8PM, CDT, Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Funeral Service 330PM, Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Long, Rev. Robert Johnson & Rev. Gerald Long officiating. Interment to follow at Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell.
