Roy Leonard Sewell

Roy Leonard Sewell age 78 of South Pittsburg passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022. He served in The United States Airforce, was a longtime member of the Lookout Valley Masonic Lodge # 673,  served as the International State President of Carpenters Local # 74 , and was a member of Valley Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a long haul truck driver for Storey Trucking. Roy was preceded in death by parents, John William & Artie Sewell; siblings, Pat McNabb, Juanita Hall, Bill Sewell & Alvin Sewell, and grandson Shane Chapman.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Tina Sewell of South Pittsburg; John William (Michelle) Sewell, John Charles (Trish) Sewell, Gail Marie (Darren) Roach all of Chattanooga, Allison Lea (Tommy) Allison of Fackler, Brian James (Kasey) Sewell of Chattanooga, Justin Todd (Talisha) Evans of Spring City, Samantha Dawn Evans of Salina, Kiara Renea (Brandon) Swafford of Dalton & Alex Evans of South Pittsburg; brother, John “Bud” Sewell of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Chad Dagnan, Caleb (Randi) Sewell, Jessica Shedd, Jenni Cassedy, Nikki (Brian) Steele, Jacob Sewell, Abel Sewell, Megan (BJ) Miller, Amanda Patrick, Makayla Evans, Adrien Evans, Carlos Evans, III, Dalaillah Swafford, Josh Downs, Jordan Hayes, Alexis Hayes, Shane Nelson; great grandchildren, Conner Steele, Chloe Steele, and Raiden West.

Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, EST, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home at 144 Browns Ferry Road Chattanooga, TN 37419.

Funeral Service 2PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Nelson officiating.

Interment to follow at Payne’s Gap Cemetery in Flat Rock, Alabama.
