SAMUEL BARNES Obituary

Samuel Barnes,66, of Chattanooga, TN, was born June 18, 1957. He passed away July 30, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Samuel was a loving father, husband, and friend. He loved his family and friends. He loved riding his motorcycle. He had a strong love for cars and motorcycles as well. Sam loved being social and telling jokes. He enjoyed having an ice-cold Budweiser while shooting pool, going fishing, or relaxing with those closest to him. Sam was also a member of  Masonic lodge #673 where he was a Past Master. He never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his father William Jasper Barnes, mother Ellen Luster Barnes, brothers: Ronald “Barney” Barnes and William Edward Barnes, and his sister Elena Barnes.

He is survived by his wife Edie Barnes, his sons: Joshua (Jennifer) Barnes, Cody (Jessica)Barnes, Jonathan (Courtney)Forshee and Jeremiah (Caroline) Barnes, His daughters: Samantha (Scott) Murphee, Sarah (Philip) Hickey, sisters: Nancy Hughes, Faye (Jim)Beavers, Sheila Avery, Joanna (Ed) Harvey, 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday August 12, from 2pm to 4pm. Memorial service will be Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 4pm.
