Scott Michael Moreland of South Pittsburg Mountain passed away Monday, March 8, 2021. He was employed with Lodge Cast Iron Manufacturing and was a lieutenant with the South Pittsburg Mountain volunteer Fire Department. Prior to Joining the fire department, Scott Spent his life serving his country in the U.S. Navy and in the U.S. Marine Corps, Serving his country as a dedicated truck driver, serving his Faith as a Priest, serving his heritage in his history re-enactment troupe, and serving his family as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was proceeded in death by his brother Kyle David Moreland, His Grandparents Parker Elbert Moreland, Francis Hardy Moreland, Howard H Lindsay, Carolyn D Lindsay, and his biological mother Barbara Noble.
Those left to treasure his memories are his wife Susan Moreland, His Daughter Star Dukes, His son Christopher Moreland, His stepchildren Chelsie Keith, Stephanda Akins, Samuel Akins, and his bonus son Jordan Braggs. His Parents Otis H. Moreland, and Anne L. Moreland, his siblings Meredith Dawes and Jon Moreland, his grandchildren Freya R. Mckinney, Casper D. Sadler, Henry L. Moreland, Shiloh Keith, Aiden Keith, Moses Holt, and William Holt, His nephew Jason L. Dawes, and everyone else he met on his journey through life and adopted as family.
Family will receive friends 1PM-8PM, Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Graveside Service 2PM, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper with Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
