Obituary

Sherman Long passed away August 18, 2023. He was the son of W.B. Long & Mable Long Presnell. He was raised in Sequatchie, TN. as a farm boy. He loved the great outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing. He spent four years in the Navy. He loved the Atlanta Braves and tried to watch every game. Sherman was preceded in death by his parents and son Larry "Red' Long and twin brother, Herman Long.

He is survived by his wife Sue, daughter Lisa Fricke, son Todd Long, grandchildren : Daniel Long, Victoria Long - Gann (Brian), Samantha Long, Chloe Flanders and Peyton Long (Lauren), Greatgrandchildren : Rylan and Nicole Long, Atley and Gibson Gann. 

Sherman was a founding member of the East Jasper Church of Christ and attended every service until he was unable to do so. Visitation will be Saturday, August 26 from 2 - 4 and Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4.
