Steven A. Keahey, Musician, Master Guitar Luthier, and Retired United Entertech Employee Steven Allen Keahey’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. We can only imagine the band of musicians, family, and friends that welcomed him at Heavens Gates. Steve passed away on August 20th, 2022 at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Steve was always a hard worker, and sought to master anything he set out to do. Steve found his true passion in 1999 when he and his Uncle (Sonny Thomas) opened Guitar Solutions, in Jasper, TN. His pride was in his craftsmanship, and his passion was felt by the customers through the instruments he luthiered over the years.
The pleasures of life brought great joy to Steve. In his younger years he took pride in the classic cars that he owned and built. He loved playing softball, and golf with friends. He was honored to be part of the 1984 All Tournament Choo Choo Classic winning softball team. Steve’s greatest passion became his relationship and love for his Lord and Savior. He had an uncanny ability to make friendships with just about anyone he met.
Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa Roberts Keahey; a daughter, Stephanie Keahey Bragg (Terry); a son; John Christopher Keahey; Step Children; Chan Pesnell (Shelby); Lauren Pesnell; 4 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; a sister, Tonya Rode (Janis); a brother; Donnie Keahey and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at 2PM, CDT, with visitation at 11AM-2PM, CDT at Jasper Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Webb officiating.
